=0( got a little too attached. 9:04 PM I cut my hair! =D I am still ♥-ing my concave so much! =D Short hair in this weather = awesome. I prefer shorter hair because long hair makes me feel like I am so sleepy and dull! Short hair = energetic! For me that is! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 5:25 AM The mystery of the missing plane. Air France Flight 447. Before that black box is found, we can all only guess and make theories of what happened. The lives of 228 people, including a baby and seven children. It's a tragedy. I think, it's particularly sad when you think about the stories of these people. The reason they were travelling 11 hours to Paris. Returning back to their hometown, buisness trips or for a holiday. Feeling happy and on to board the plane. I remember what it is like to take the plane for the first time when I was a child. The pressure part sucks of course, but it was a wonderful experience. But for these seven children and a baby, it would have been a scary one. For so many hours, the missing plane remains well, misisng. I would be hoping that plane landed on some deserted island or something. But if the plane really had went to the bottom of the ocean, I only hope that they didn't felt much pain. You know, the on the plane back to Singapore from Perth, I was fearful throughout the journey. The plane was shakey. Yes, very shakey! Turbulence perhaps? But it kept decreasing it's altiude at times that it scares me. And it isn't helping that the sky is dark. And at that very moment, I just want to get out of the plane. Well, of course I can't do that when the plane is in mid-air! But that's how I got through my 5hours flight. Hoping to get to sleep. I seriously hate to take the plane, perhaps of what I experienced many years ago. Because you are so high up, you can't do anything except wait. But I just hope, they moved on peacefully with minimal pain. And hope that the families will be able to move on in the near future. It's always the living that suffers the most you know. =0( 11:13 PM The month of May Par 1
The month of May have been an exciting one. From Imagine Cup (which feels like years away already), to Aussie trip to visit jon jon and to graduation ceremony just yesterday. Yea, life's awesome! Imagine Cup 2009 Everyone have been asking how Imagine Cup coming along and yes, I just hate to answer it. But it's over anyways and the experience have been great! Although going to Egypt have been like, my dream, the awesome experience was unexpected. And yes, it's worth it. =D I mean, I surely have blogged about how great the "trip" of Imagine Cup have been. It's not just about working with the "Mr Funny" and "Mr Hat-trick", it's how much I've learnt! From the project phase (FinalYearProject) done in school and in beijing, to working in school even after the unofficial graduation. And yeh, found some motivation in this too! And while they are busy carrying their stuffs, I was well, erm, taking pictures of them carrying the HEAVY stuffs! =D Cute little children. =D
Aussie trip_Visit Jon Jon. Shortly after Imagine Cup, I headed over to Western Australia. Visiting jon jon and yes, HOLIDAY. It's really LIFE there! I mean, I love the place so much! It's relaxing (*never mind about the taxes*) and the people's there is really nice, well, majority of them. There's very little high-rise building! Most of them can be found in the "city" area. And yes, there are more high-rise buildings in our CBD area. I abhor HIGH-RISE buildings! I know I am living in Singapore, living with the high-rise buildings (*HDBs) for the past 20years! Let's take a look at SOME photos taken there because there are like more than a thousand pictures and I am so not going to blog ALL down! . Some are taken with the awesome 8MP jonjon's cammie, some from sis's 3.2MP cammie, some more moomoo's 5MP cammie and my, 2MP cammie. And the pictures are not in chronological order by the way. =D This is across Swan River or is it lake? See the little high-rise buildings on the left? They are the only ones! =D Awesome place I tell you! This is taken at the Park! I love that park! =D The awesome train station. I love their station! It's very "open". You just walk up the stairs and tadah! you are at the train station! You just buy tickets (*if you are not on "ez link card"*) and board the train. When you reach the destination, you just tap your card or show the ticket! And by the way, the bus fares are ZERO if you are traveling in the same zone or is it city? AWESOME right! The CAT bus is the "free" bus for that! Grapes! Vineyard! I ♥ them! We are staying at Chelsea! =D Lovely place. And their condominium are like only 3 storeys high! Across the condo is HarbourTown! =D SHOPPING! Cheap buys! Got my favourite heels there at 39.95 AUD! The apartment jon jon is sharing with his friend. I ♥ it so much! It's SUPER cosy! And the comfy sofas! =D The kitchen is on the left! =D And yes, we are at Caversham Wildlife Park! Most of the pictures of birds, koalas, kangaroos and rabbits will be from Caversham. The kangaroos are Yes, this close! With many more staring at you because they WANT food! Or some snoozing away! Reallly cute! This very angry bird that bites! I ♥ this owl the most in the wildlife park! I absolutely ♥ it! It's so freaking cute! It may look a little freaky when you are looking at his eyes. But it is still freaking CUTE. It's baby kangaroo and it's mum/dad! Cutie pie! This kangaroo kept scratching infront of us! I love this goat the most! Do you realize most goats do this? This "Stick my face between the fence" thing! Another scratching kangaroo! Moomoo's distant relative.=D This is one CUTE koala bear! I mean the one on the left! She(*asked the person there, and she's a female!*) is really an agressive koala! She makes noises when the one on the left (*dominic*) wants to cross! Have you heard koala bear make sounds?! Ask me to demo it for you next time! Sounds like she is going to puke any moment! Making CHOCOLATES! ME LOVE!The coleslaw and the whipped potato from their KFC! I LOVE THEIR KFC! =D Their coleslaw is awesome! And so is their whipped potato, but not sure why the rest didn't like it! I love it! It's harder than Singapore's! And their chicken is awesome! =D And no, it's not a case of "the grass is greener on the other side"! And their idea of "KOPITIAM", "FOOD COURT" is just a collection of ALL THE FAST FOOD! I love the sights and sounds! I shall end the "no human" pictures here! Because there are ALOT! This is taken outside Caversham. Smelly and jon jon attempting the "jump shot"! Squatting down shot + a Jumping shot.Nut nut at the brewery. Smelly, jon jon and nutnut nut at the vineyard! The place I call home! Haha! Bought 3 dessert wine there! At Swan Valley. Preparing to go... ehm, i forgot whereAt caversham! =D Yeh, that's STEVE! No, I am not trying to murder the croc! Bunnies! Inserted this peek here because..I really wanna have a bunny! But moomoo wouldn't allow! On the bridge at Caversham!Jon jon terrorizing the kiddo! There are many pple in this peek! =D Their shopping mall. Even their shopping malls are single storey! Oh yea, EVERYTHING (*mostly*) closes at 5! =DJon Jon's apartment door! =X Whoops, should I like cancel out the number 22? At Kings Park! kings Park! I look this SHOT!Hug the tree! =DThe view is NICE! I found my hubby overseas also! =D Hahaha! You all should know about my hubbies in Singapore! =XMy sis took this! Very real! But it's actually really very big! XDNICE PLACE!Blow wind blow! Outside bell tower! There's this port? There are fishies and jellyfishes!Freaking unglam I know! Fun! The many many bells in the tower! I love the different tones of each bell! The very strong lady! She's freaking strong! She is 80+ and the bells are super heavy! Yeaps, the ropes are connected to the bells! ...to be continued Graduation 2009 ECCE So, upon touching down, I slept for like less than 5 hours before heading off in this weather to school for my graduation ceremony. Bad idea! Weather's so freaking warm! Imagine the change! From freaking low temperature to this *omgly* warm weather in Singapore! But, how to miss graduation? It's like seeing all my babies grow up! Don't ask me why! The class guys. I like this pic alot alot! Partial class photo! Weida and 5 of the class girls! Missing yingjie! Trying out the "artsy" shot Polytechnic have been great! You know, like, at the end of everything, you start sitting down and think. What would things have been like if you made another decision (*not saying wrong decision*) in the beginning. What would things have been like if I decided to follow the "norm" (*like what my mum said*) and join JC? What if I didn't went to appeal for NYP and stayed at SP? I won't say if it will be better or not. But I am glad I did what I did years ago. I mean, the experience these 3 years have been awesome! For the three years, my class have been a great bunch, with little hiccups along the way for sure. I miss the lectures, both attending and skipping! I miss tutorials! I miss practicals and practical tests! I miss night lessons of year 2! I miss helping out in orientations, and also attending that one Eagles camp! Attending one semester of squash lessons with my class's girls excluding jessica. Going for LONG lunch breaks on Guo Jie's lorry (*newton!*). Beijing TRIP! And P. UBIN trips! And the very first (and hopefully the last) "near-death" experience on the lorry which I doubt the driver himself know! And some practical test which I teared. I mean, i am not someone who cries easily! You know, TEARS just come rolling down even if I want it or not! Like honestly! Even if I see someone I DON'T KNOW cry, it's hard to keep my own tears from rolling down too! But i am training to control! Because you know, in my first sem, god knows what happened to me, I scored a freaking 2.8! And I was like, OH CRAP! Because it was a great fall actually for me! Therefore, from then onwards, any small test or big test becomes very important to me! That's why, from then on, I hate this GPA thingy! Like seriously! But it's over! And it has been great! But I still hate the GPA system. And that's why, at the graduation ceremony yesterday, I was super glad and proud of all the familiar faces I see. I mean, many people said that it's easy to score for poly, but then being able to go through these three years, and enjoy it, that is what's important! Today, one of my msn nick says, "I am going to miss weida's 'YO CLASS' alot!". For the two years in class, I feel very much like a baby. I think everyone felt so! Because there's always messages from weida (*starting with "yo class"*) before every exam/test or any changes in lessons, or any important assignments to be handed in! His presence actually made me, the "assistant" just a position in name! =X Whoops! I can imagine ten years down the road, weida will be sms-ing everyone with "yo class" again for a class gathering! Hahs! Yes, the 3 years have been greattt! Met a few great friends and had stronger bonds with my old friends. Blogging about it for hundred posts also can't finish blogging about my 3 years in Poly. So end this off alrighty!? Haha! Cheers to all the great things in life! 8:37 AM |
